THE THREE day Delhi Jumbo job and educational fair-2008, witnessed a sum of 40,000 registrations on the first day, presented by TimesJobs site at Pragati Maidan on Saturday (June 12). Estimated around 6,000 candidates walked out with their appointment letter on first day of the fair.

Anurag Karol, regional manager (North), TimesJob said that "It’s the seventh time that TimesJob is organising this fair and I am not surprised with the response we have received from the candidates on the first day as the fair has come up with good packages for job seekers and we are looking forward for more registration in the following two days."

"The fair not only provides a platform, but also provides the candidates with an opportunity to make a choice from over 1,50,000 jobs, and get information in their area of interest" said Karol.

The fair have companies from every sector from information technology (IT), ITES, sales, marketing, airlines, hospitality, pharmaceutical, retail and more, of which 50 per cent of the opening has already been filled up on the first day, which is a positive sign. Jobseekers can meet, interact with several top employers under one roof that serves as a dual advantage.

Previous Jumbo fairs have helped candidates and companies with rich functionalities and unlimited scalability, while providing jobs. Candidates can contact more than one company in their search for their dream job.
